Room Smelled like wet dog. The room was filled with fleas. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We found the Wilkes-Barre Red Roof much improved from past stays there. There had been serious remodeling, and the room was comfortable, clean and attractive. The people at the desk were very friendly, eager to be sure all was well with us. The hotel is located right by I-81, but getting to the West Side (our destination) is a breeze, just a few minutes. We were very happy with the accommodations, and the price was certainly right.

I stayed here when coming in for my child's soccer tournament and it was great. Everything was above my expectations for a motel.

I had a special request for first floor and to my surprise it was right next door to the lobby. How wonderfully convenient! Very pleased at this point only to get better. I stopped into the front desk and had asked for more pillows and blankets which they none available on hand. Less than 2 minutes later a very pleasant woman had brought us pillows and blankets which was also so wonderful.

Upon check out they had fresh coffee and USA Today which was a pleasant surprise.

All in all it was a great stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will DEFINITELY be back to stay again.

We stayed here this past weekend since it was close to the casino. What a mistake that was!!! I had to wash out the ice bucket, ( no liner was available in the room ), wash the plastic holder that the tv channels and nearby restaurants were posted on...it was literally stuck to the top of the end table...yuck! The carpet was not vaccumed and the door keys didnt work everytime we tried to get back into the room....this was so annoying!! When we arrived back to the room, the bed was only half made and no soap was replenished.. To top it off, it was extremely noisy at 3 am where we complained and nothing was done about it. We were so happy to get back home....NEVER AGAIN!!!
