We found the B&B to be quite lovely and immaculate. The rooms and bathrooms are large and extremely comfortable. There is a nice common room separated by glass-paned double doors that lead into the home of the hosts. There are plenty of towels and basic amenities. The bedrooms include a ceiling fan and individual temperature controls, which is a nice thing to have since everyone's comfort needs are different.
The breakfast was wonderful -- lemon pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice, and a beautiful Swedish Christmas bread that was moist and delicious. Coffee was served at breakfast but I would have loved to have coffee when I first woke up and was getting showered and dressed. There did not seem to be an option for that, although I probably could have asked for it. One friend asked for milk instead of a hot beverage, but she was not given the option to have it.
While the hosts were very nice people and informative, we found one of them to be a bit obtrusive, particularly when we were trying to get settled in after our arrival, as well as at breakfast the next morning. We enjoy getting to know people and realize we are "living" in someone's home, but the host should be able to sense when people would like to be alone, unpack, get settled in, spend time together, and have their own conversations. It would also have been nice to have him make some effort to get to know us as his guests. It was an interesting situation, one we have not encountered previously at a B&B. For one couple in the group, this was their first experience with a B&B, and I don't think they will do it again because of this experience.
If you want a clean and quiet B&B and don't mind having the conversation dominated by one of the hosts, you will enjoy the Arvgarden. If you need a bit more privacy and want to spend time with each other, you probably won't like it.
