“Wooo wooo wooo nyuk nyuk nyuk. . . why soitenly the best kept secret sight in the Philly area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

The Stoogeum is a private collection shared with the public once a month by owner Gary Lassin. He married into one of the Stooges families, and is the ultimate collector. This well-hidden gem is open from 10 a.m till 3 p.m. once a month, and is well worth the visit. You know you've arrived when the sign outside advises Three Stooges Parking. . .All Others Will Be Slapped. It is 3 levels of Stooges memorabilia, art and fun. An 80-seat theater plays Stooges short films the entire time, and the films are running throughout the exhibits as well. Original contracts, draft registration cards and drivers licenses, as well as jokes, movie posters and manuscripts, are part of what's on display. Check their website for open dates and how to get there. Think it's nothing special? What are you a wise guy, eh?
No photography allowed inside The Stoogeum. There is a small gift shop and info about the Stooges Fan Club.

“What's the big idea? This museum is poifect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

We didn't know what to expect out of this museum with the unusual once a month schedule. We are happy to say that Mo, Larry and Curley would definitely approve! This little treasure is tucked away in what appears to be an office park. If you follow the directions given on the web site you'll have no trouble locating it. We encountered a pretty full parking lot with a spillover of people outside the doors. We located a spot, and one inside, couldn't stop smiling. It’s a self guided tour of pictures, posters, stories, and memorabilia of the years they entertained the world. Lots of videos are shown throughout the museum. The highlight is The Theatre which is designed as a movie theatre with continuous screenings of the Three Stooges shorts. You could easily spend your entire time laughing and watching these episodes, but then you'd miss all the posters, toys, artwork, statues and everything that makes up these characters. There is a gift shop, tucked out of the way. We were extremely impressed that is was not a grab for money on Stooge merchandise, but available for those who want to take something away with their experience. This museum is a balance between the careers of all the Stooges and their personal stories. My husband's comment was that he couldn't help notice that the women in the short films were all very beautiful. If there is anything negative to say about this museum is that it can already use some more space. Overall all, this is one of my very favorites and will provide a smile from the moment you enter till the moment you leave. You would have to be a knucklehead not to love it.
