My daughter and I stayed at the SpringHill Suites BakerySquare this past weekend while she auditioned at Carnegie Mellon.
The hotel is immaculately clean, and the staff is very friendly. We arrived at 11:30 am and were able to check in right away and they honored our request for side by side rooms. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable.
One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was the complimentary shuttle service to and from CMU. This was a wonderful amenity and Raymond, the driver was great. I really can't say enough nice things about him.
I would absolutely stay here again as well as recommend it to friends.

Rooms are large and spacious. Bed are comfortable. The neighboring (adjoining) Urban gym is great. Walls are a little thin, but never had much of a problem except for a couple loud TVs. I'm there a bunch for work.

Visiting colleges and stayed there one night. Loved the location and wish we could have had more time. Right next to shopping and wonderful restaurants and in very nice area not far from Pitt and Carnegie Mellon. It was a breeze traveling between the two places and the counter help was excellent of steering us the right way. The breakfast, while not the fanciest (Embassy Suites still is the best) was very nice and filling with a good selection of fruit, oatmeal, yogurt for those how want to eat lighter. My daughter loved the waffles as always. Very clean and a wonderful layout for the rooms. I was in the living area while daughter was in sleeping area and we could converse but still had space to move around. She laid on the bed and I sat on the couch to watch tv together and it worked out nicely. Bathrooms are nice and plenty of closet space to put your suitcases so they are not in the way. I loved that feature. It was very quiet for the city and we slept soundly. If daughter chooses Pitt will definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at the Bakery Square SpringHill Suites twice, once for business and once with kids. I highly recommend it for both. The hotel is modern, clean and very comfortable. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting one of the universities, but you will need a car to get around. There's plenty free parking in the structure next to the hotel. There's also a gym, and a pool in the hotel. The hotel pool is small but ideal for kids. All in all highly recommended.
