Hotel was ok to good in terms of room quality. Excellent for proximity to shopping. But, no wireless from guest rooms and slow ethernet acess? Very poor if you have kids or want to work.

Our stay was during the weekend of Oct.26th for two nights. The room was clean and roomy. The beds are comfortable and the furniture is ample and in good condition. The overall hotel is clean well kept and spacious. The breakfast is included in the room rate for some rates so if you need a quick breakfast take that room rate. There was a Hockey team on our floor that were very noisy and ran in the halls. I rang the front desk and they sent up someone to deal with the problem. The only thing i might have wanted was for them to put the whole team in one area so the parents were close enough to hear and be bothered by there own kids. Instead they had the kids at one end of the floor and the parents at the other so the noise was unabated and they ran back and forth to there parents room making more noise. Still the overall weekend was fine.

My flight arrived quite late into Pittsburgh and we arranged in advance to stay at the nearby SpringHill Suites. If it hadn't been well past the daily cancellation period, we would have walked right back out. The hallways were dingy with dirty carpet. The room was so small for a suite; barely a delineation between the sitting and sleeping areas. There was NO closet in the room. The toilet did not work properly; we had to lift the tank cover every time we flushed. The decor was way below average. The fitness room was closed with a sign that said we could be directed to other off-site facilities. The breakfast bar was adequate, with pleasant staff, but all the "dishes" were styrofoam. Just what our landfills need. Could we not use real dishes and flatwear? And the price was no bargain at $159 plus tax per evening. I expected more from a Mariott chain. You can be sure we will never stay at a SpringHill Suites again.

Stayed in Pittsburg for a wedding, genuinely surprised at the clean, large, comfortable room we stayed in. Had a problem with our trip home, and the staff was great at accommodating us even tho the hotel was booked.
Also, found that they were flexible with their rate....aaa,AARP, robably persistence would pay off.
I do recommend this hotel.
