“A Really Nice Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2006

We stayed this past weekend at Aaron Burr House for our Anniversary and enjoyed it very much. Yes, we heard cars but we were in room 5 facing the back. We heard motorcycle hogs too but you hear that annoying sound all over New Hope so you certainly can't blame the Inn for that. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay very much. The location was great and could not have been better. We walked to the Bucks County Theatre and to the Mansion Inn Restaurant for a great evening out. Breakfast was nice and we really enjoyed breakfast in our room but the breakfast could have offered a little more considering the prices charged. We have seen more breakfast choices at chain hotels charging half the price.

The rooms and house were very nicely decorated. The room was clean but cold. Our room had a gas fireplace that helped but it was still chilly. No TV's in the rooms. The handle to the bathroom was broken but if you read the room diary you will learn it has been broken since 2003. I would likely return if we ever were in the area again.

“aaron burr house is ok but the wedgewood is better”

Had a few minor problems that were addressed in adequate time. However , it wasnt what I expected and the food which is supposed to be prepared by the Wedgewood wasnt that great , we dined at the wedgewood and the food there was much much better but still not what we expected but the dining area was much more comfortable divided up into individual tables. Alot of lugging luggage up 3 flights of stairs and we had no door to our set of rooms our bathroom was in fact open for anyone that came up the staircase. It was not at all private.
If I had it to do over I would stay at the Lambertville Inn on the river. That place is great and a wonderful buffet and just across the bridge from new hope.

“Just OK.......”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2006

Local resident (20 miles) so familar with area and town. Chose to stay here for the location which is 2 blocks from it all. Room #1 was a 6 out of 10. Others have complained about noise, but I will assume they have a different New Hope experience in mind. New Hope has changed drastically over the years from a gay/biker town to an prodiminently young professional/couples escape. At night the town becomes a large party, not rowdy, just fun. We chose to stay over to avoid the drive home early in the morning. We spent only a waking hour or two in the room. The breakfast is continental, muffins, fruit, etc. I will stay here again only because of the location.

“Too noisy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2006

I would be writing a positive or at least neutral review of the Aaron Burr House if not for one major problem. My wife and I were placed in room 6 which faces West Bridge Street (Rt. 179). I live in Brooklyn and can sleep through all kinds of noise, but the traffic noise from the street kept us awake a good portion of the night. The problem was compouded by the fact that the room was too warm and there was no AC or fan. Weather-wise, it would have been the perfect night to open the windows, but that would of increased the street noise. To be fair, I spoke to other guests who were not facing Rt. 179 and they indicated that they did not experience this problem. So just make sure to avoid room 6 or any room facing Rt. 179.

The proximity to Main Street was nice.

The breakfast was okay.
