My wife Donna and I celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary Getaway not to far from home. We live in NJ about 1 hour away but had heard fabulous feedback from numerous friends regarding the The Stephan House Inn, New Hope, PA.

Michael was our host and treated us 1st class for our 3 day, 2 night stay, We loved the early January atmosphere (cold weather with the Fire Places glowing and Xmas Decor) and the awesome food served at breakfast. Everything was fresh, healthy, and relaxing.
More importantly, our huge bedroom had a private balcony (yes we were crazy to sip champagne at night outside) overlooking beautiful downtown New Hope with all it's festive lighting.

The location, town atmosphere is right outside your door! The free parking, breakfast, refrigerator w/water, internet, and service was even extra special. In meeting the owner, Celeste (who was radiant and very pleasant each day) I promised her that we would be back big time. More importantly (because of my business background), you can rent out the entire house for a formal family get away, sales meeting, etc..and utilize their roof top or backyard for barbecue's, cocktail parties during warmer times of the year. Guess what.....I plan on surprising my sales staff for our mid year sales meeting later this year.

my husband and I stayed at the Stephan House last Sunday night. Such a great place. Convinient to shops, restaurants. Clean rooms, welcoming staff, and a special rate Sunday nights in December. So glad we stayed there. We will come back again.

We arrived @ 10:30am and our room was ready for use, which was great and a nice surprise! All of the employees were so helpful and friendly. They allowed us an extra parking pass, early check-in, etc. The common rooms of this Inn were great: clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable, but our room, the top room w/ 2 beds, left a bit to be desired. Pretty rough around the edges and loud too boot. But for a very last minute Saturday night stay, it sufficed just fine. The location of the Inn can't be beat. New Hope's sweet charm lies just outside the door! I would recommend this Inn, just not the top floor room/suite.

We had two rooms at the Stephan House for two nights. It is a great place, very friendly and charming. It even has a fridge with complimentary soft drinks and beer. Common area and rooms are very comfortable and inviting. A few complaints:
1. Bring a light bulb. All of the lights in the guest rooms are minimal watts and almost impossible to read by. If you want more light bring a 100w bulb.
2. If you like quiet, get a room away from the road. Our friends had a room on the street and the noise from the trucks and cars bothered them.
3. They need a shelf in the bathrooms to put your toiletries on. With a pedestal sink there is no room to put your stuff.
Despite these items this is a great place to stay.
