I have stayed at this Inn many times in the past and have always been treated very well. This trip was something of an impulse to surprise a friend of mine in Michigan on Christmas Day. I just made the reservations yesterday online and there were no smoking rooms available. As I headed west through the mountains on the turnpike I thought it can't hurt to ask. The very kind girl who greeted me remembered me from past days because of my dog; black pug named Henry.
Kimmie invited us into the lobby and set about checking us in. I asked about the possibility of a smoking room and she said I think we made one available for you. What a pleasant surprise! i thanked her for her kindness and great holiday spirit! Great job, Kimmie!

I thought this place was clean after reading all the reviews, but disappointed. First, was given a room which wasn't ready yet. After changed to another room, it smelled when entered, and discovered that it was not quite clean like it's clean by a 10-year-old kid. Floor probably never been clean, there was a toothpick on the night stand, some hair on the sink and bathroom floor. Shower walls were dirty. Disgusting! Hallways and stairs probably never been swept for a long time. Walls so thin can hear people talking outside.

It is on a nice/safe location though. wifi is free.

Tracy at the front desk was friendly and extremely helpful. Her customer service made my stay at the Red Roof Inn that much better. I arrived around 4am and she greeted me with a smile and offered me a cup of coffee. My room was clean and ready to go.....plus the free Wi-Fi was an added bonus. Thank you Red Roof Inn for hiring good people and understanding the value of customer service.

Tracy @ the front desk goes to great lengths to meet specific requests for accomadations. In my line of work I'm on the road more than I'm home. The hotel becomes a second home of sorts. Requests for a certain room, micro-frig, etc, are handle with a smile and followup questions for anything else. The housekeeping staff do a very thorough and professional job.
