this hotel is highly recommended for long stay for more than 2 weeks, this is like a furnished apartment, there is kitchen, iron table, internet with reasonable one time payment. Hotel is very clean. Even common washing machine is available at nominal charges. but there are few points to be taken care, one must have a vehicle as this hotel is not well connected. there is no resto in this hotel.

The Extended StayAmerica in Monroeville is an excellent value and location for stop overs and stays in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Conveniently located off the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) and Rt 22, this hotel is quiet but close to many restaurants and a close drive to food stores. The Monroeville Mall is also nearby. The staff was friendly and even helped me receive a discount on my single night stay. The kitchen, bedroom area, and bathroom were clean and attractive. The bed were comfortable. The TV and internet service was fine. My wife and I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is in a decent area that is easy to miss at first. The room was large, the kitchen nice and the hardwood floors were a real plus. It is a great place for a one or two day stay; however, I would ask to be placed near people that are there for short stays as there are residents who appear to be unseemly and the rooms with the long-term guests have a strong smell of curry. Sorry, there is no hidden meaning here, just being honest.

The check in was a nightmare as the clerk was nowhere to be found. I do take exception to the way Maryanne handled our check in. When we arrived around 10:00 pm, there was a gentleman waiting at the counter. I asked had he been waiting long and he replied about seven minutes. Well, another ten minutes past and by this time there were four of us waiting to check in and a guest (already registered) waiting for assistance. We rang the counter buzzer twice and received no response.
When Maryanne finally appeared she stated “I did not know anyone was here, why didn’t you ring the buzzer?” the gentleman that had been waiting the longest replied “I did twice.” Maryanne’s response was along the lines of “Well I all alone at night” or something to that effect. In short, she has us waiting, she looked disinterested and frankly appeared to have just woke up. She showed no professionalism or remorse.

I wrote the general manager, named Chiusano, and apparently he is disinterested also, he never responded!

We booked this hotel at the last minute when our other hotel wouldn't take dogs. The front desk was very helpful, but the room and facilities were a disappointment. The elevator had food on the floor (which was still there the following morning. The hallways and elevator had a pervasive smell of smoke. The room was damp...in fact the carpet felt wet. The TV was small and offered no real channels. Overall it was we were very glad to not be having an "extended stay" here.
