My wife and I stayed here 10 years ago and we had a very nice time. Why I waited that long I simply don't know. We decided to come back for a short get away and much to our surprise the place has improved greatly. Not that it was a bad place to begin with. It was a very nice experience 10 years ago. But this time around we were blown away. The breakfast was to die for. The peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful room and the wonderful treatment we received from Janis and Ann......are beyond words. We will not wait another 10 years to return.

This was our 2nd stay at Kings Cottage and we were very pleased. We stayed in the Princess Room and the room was very cozy, clean, and well appointed. Janis and Ann really go out of their way to make your stay special. It was our anniversary and they couldn't do enough for us.

Breakfast was a top notch dining experience. The food was well presented and the taste was excellent. We are planning another stay this Spring.

We found this place last minute and were so glad we did. Janis and Ann (and Sampson) were extremely welcoming and made sure we got the most out of our time in Lancaster County by providing maps, information about activities and the area and making dinner reservations for us. They also served us the most incredible breakfast. The room was beautiful and clean, with the most incredibly comfortable bed. It is on the corner of a quite busy road (as a couple of the negative reviews mentioned) but this was not an issue for us at all. Once inside we found the inn to be very quiet and relaxing, and our room, the Contessa, was whisper quiet.A great experience all around. If we ever go back to Lancaster County we will be sure to go back to Kings Cottage.

We hadn't booked at Kings Cottage B&B but it was early evening after a very long driving day, that we knocked on the front door, hoping to find 2 rooms. Unbeknown to us foreigners, being Friday night in the middle of October (think Halloween month in USA, the Hershey Zoo open for night visits over the weekend, and Fall fesitivities in the Amish country), there was not a room available in the house. And in fact, Ann, the host of the B&B, suggested that there wouldn't be any in the area.
However this did not deter her from helping us. She and her partner called at least 15 hotels, inns,and B&B's in the surrounding area, asking whether they had any rooms available, taking up a good 40 minutes of their time. Always they were very professional, in good spirits, and seemed as though it was not a bother to them. Lucky for us, they finally found us one.
With such thoughtfulness and help like that, we know The Kings Cottage would have to be a fabulous place to stay. Thank you Ann!
