“In need of a makeover!”

Location is great with some rooms having ocean views. The room we had was very tired and really needed to be modernised. The master bedroom (up two internal flights of stairs) had a very comfortable bed but the bedside lamps had broken falling off lamp shades, a very out dated TV with no remote control and hard to find manual controls. The drapes were dirty and mildewed and the bathroom was far from satisfactory. The restuarant is closed for all but a buffet breakfast which was very well presented, friendly staff and a good variety of food. There was an in room menu but believe it or not this is only available Mon to Fri - not the all important weekends! This motel has definitely seen better days which is a real shame as the location is great, and the staff friendly!

“Cold Showers”

I was compelled to read some reviews on this place after experiencing cold showers. COLD SHOWERS!! Also Hotel Network customers beware. They denied I had a booking even though I checked my email later and found the booking number confirmed long before I arrived. Look elsewhere..

Thanks for providing your feedback on your stay with us.

With reference to your feedback in relation to your booking it had been forwarded to the hotel via email during the day of your arrival. However there were some technical issues during that time with the migration of our emails from one platform to another. I also note and thank you for your feedback in relation to the issue you had with the hot water which is being addressed.

“Some pros and some cons.”

Pros: 1) Location.Close to the beach. 2) Friendly staff. Very helpful and kind. 3) the room we stayed was quiet and in the morning we could hear the singing of birds.
Cons: 1) The facility was a in need of a renovation. Specially the bathroom. It's very old. 2) I killed a cockroach in the room. I know it happens, but I didnt like it.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay in there and recommend it if you dont mind an old bathroom.

“Friendly staff very disappointing facilities”

Major plumbing issues. Dripping taps. Cold showers. Rooms not serviced properly. Upon arrival found vanity dirty and dirty crockery and cutlery. Bar fridge had a yellow - stained dirty ice tray. Took our own ice cube tray and it still hadn't frozen after 36 hours. Porterhouse steak that we had taken had gone off in the fridge and had to be abandoned. Had to be moved after we had unpacked because the TV didn't work in the room we were given. No set top box or LCD TV's. If you didn't grab a parking spot fast, you had to park a long way from your room. The breakfast was quite nice and after we had alerted reception that washers needed replacing in the vanity, Maintenance fixed this quite promptly., but shower had to be run for 8-10 minutes before warm water (not hot) became available. A guest checking out reported that she couldn't shower because she feared that her upstairs room's shower recess was going to collapse and she wasn't game to use it because it was so uneven.

“In need of an upgrade”

Stayed here on a work trip, looks nice form the outside, but very sad inside. My room smelt like it hadn't been opned in some time. Several of my colleagues rooms were unclean. I could hear the person in the next room snoring and going to the bathroom.
Great location though - I walked into Terrigal for breakfast and that was the high light.
The air conditioning unit didn't work, remote dirty, linen old and tired. Very dissappointing.
