Overall rating? No star
It really serves us right for booking the apartments last minute cause the rest of the places were booked out earlier. In the end we rented two apartments to accommodate 12 adults and 2 kids. The size of the apartment is ok so we have no problem with that but that's the only good thing about the resort.
Cleanliness - fail BIG TIME!
We seriously doubt the housekeepers did any housekeeping before we checked in. There were used baby diaper in the bin, cockroaches everywhere, the air conditioning wasn't working properly (it was one of the hottest weekends), there were also no pillow casings nor bedsheets, just the quilt blanket. It was really hard for us to lay on the bed thinking that it most probably hasn't been changed. We wanted to ask for a change of room but it was a busy weekend so nothing else is available. I know we should have ask the housekeeper to clean it but we found out the dirtiness one by one so it was late by the time we discover everything.
Service - shocking, in a bad way
After we've settled in we wanted to have lunch at their restaurant nearby that is just next to the reception. So the bunch of us went to the reception area wanting to ask about the restaurant but the receptionist was on the phone so while waiting for her we chatted. After she hung up she said, 'you guys are so noisy, I can't even hear what's on the other side of the phone' She did not look friendly at all. My friend who didn't realize she was on the phone apologized (So what if you are on the phone? How can you speak so rudely to the customers?!) Actually I did feel slightly embarrassed but heck it's a resort not a library so of course we were loud but it's not like we were yelling. Then you know what she said to my friend? She said, 'ARE YOU BLIND? Can't you see I'm on the phone?' Then she went on and said, 'What you didn't know? Our restaurant has been closed for 8 months!' Shocking... You know, I rather melt in the hot son then to allow myself be served her royal 'politeness'
First, I think she most probably is the owner of the resort because that's the only way she can still stay employed with an attitude like that!
Secondly, we are tourists ok? How are we supposed to know your restaurant has been closed for 8 months? And why has it been closed for 8 months? Who knows...maybe bad service and dirtiness?
Thank goodness we still managed to have a good time but that's no thanks to the resort. I believe we would even have better time if it wasn't for the crappy resort and service.
So I seriously won't recommend this resort and do plan ahead!
