“A great spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

Is situated in a great spot beside a river. I stayed in a cabin which was fully self contained and had everything I needed. It is close to the national park, which has a lot of beautiful places to visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful with knowledge of the local area. I would definitely come again and bring my son.

“Not so good for caravans”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2011

We were travelling with a 19ft van & a 4WD vehicle. We pre-booked a site - predominantly because we could take our dog with us to this park. The site we were allocated was only big enough for our van (barely though, & a VERY tight squeeze), & we could EITHER have our car on our site, OR have our awning out - there was no room for both. Amenities were very old, but to their credit, very clean. Also, no bins were provided in the park at all - all rubbish has to be put in skips at park entry/exit. Also, only water provided at site is bore water (not for drinking), and this was not mentioned at any stage of the booking process. This park is expremely small, and the only plus I can see, is for people with a boat (as ramp is in park). We has a 2 night booking, and only stayed 1.

“One of the most picturesque camping spots I've ever been to”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

My partner and I camped here for a week over the January school holidays, arriving just after Australia Day. It was so quiet, we couldn't believe our luck. The only other people in the camp ground were another couple who had their dogs and young children with them. They left after a few days and we were by ourselves for the rest of the time except for the last few days, when another young couple arrived.

This caravan park is about a 10 minute drive out of town, but there are courtesy buses that will pick you up if you want to go to the RSL club for a meal-which I recommend, the seafood is so fresh and yummy. There is a service station nearby if you need to buy the basics such as ice, milk, bread, bait etc.

The river that this caravan park sits on is pristine, crystal clear and will take you right into Jervis Bay if you have a boat. The fishing here is great, most mornings I would sit on the wharf eating my breakfast (or cross legged in the water) and there would be rays and many types of fish swimming around under my feet. It was brilliant.

The staff there are very nice and unintrusive, though one night we all sat around together and shared a few beers and stories. It was a brilliant holiday and I recommend this place to anyone who just wants to chill out amongst the Australian bush with friendly people nearby.

“Great quiet spot by the river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2010

Stayed in the luxury cabins which are beautifully situated overlooking the river. Self contained with full kitchen and very modern. Small downside that the place hadn't been very well cleaned and request for beds to be made up hadn't been followed. However generally a nice place, although would be a bit squished if you had the maximum of 6 people in there! Fine for four.
