We only stayed one night here, as a stop over from Broken Hill to Jindabyne. The front part of the motel has been rebuild after a fire in January 2010 and was re-opened in April 2011.We were travelling with 2 of our 3 teenage children (14 & 15). We had booked a family room, which was lovely. Very modern. Very clean and comfortable. There is a separate bedroom with 2 single beds for the children, no cupboard. There was a kitchenette with crockery, cutlery, kettle, microwave, toaster, tea towel and a sink. However. there was no plug for the sink, detergent or washing up liquid. Even though the room was lovely, it was right at the front of the motel. The last room before the highway. This is a major highway between Sydney and Adelaide. I am a light sleeper and I did not sleep very well, because of the truck noise during the night. All the family rooms seem to be in this wing of the motel. They should have put soundproofing in the rooms to stop the traffic noise, when they rebuilt.
The owners were friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the motel restaurant, even though the food smelled nice and the menu looked good, nothing appealed to our fussy eater. Instead, went to one of the bistros in town, where we had a lovely country style meal. When we first got to the motel all the tv stations were working, but after dinner only the local tv stations were working. (Not really a problem for us). Found out the next day that the whole town didn't have satelite tv the previous night, so it must go out on a regular basis, a previous reviewer mentioned this too. Not sure if we would stay here again, only because of the highway noise at night.
Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the Motel, hopefully you will avoid the highway traffic noise.
