great motel, nice and clean and very new. Price was great and we had a fabulous stay. There is a free laundry including free powder which is rare these days, so we were very happy with that. The motel is right in town so the position is nice and close to everything. We got in early before check in and were able to get into our room very early, we were so hot and tired and so felt this was wonderful. It was sooooo clean, sparkling and quiet.... would highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a family we are very fussy where we stay, but the Saltbush Moter Inn is a great place to stay in Hay. The service was brillant good old fashion aussie hospitalty, who makes you feel very welcomed. The room was very clean and very comfortable, the location was brillant, right in the heart of town on the main street, as the motel is on the northside on the town, it was a very easy 5min walk to the other side of town and mind you very safe, with an added bonus of an IGA supermarket across the road, thats open from 7am. The room itselve was very nice, clean and very comfortable, the bed was super comfortable. Our whole experience at the Saltbush Moter Inn was a brilliant one. Plus my daughter was very a happy when she found that Paul Hogen stayed at the same motel while shooting the film Charlie and Boots.

A lovely pleasant and functional room. A great location right in the middle of town. Its probably the second best motel stay I have had in country NSW.

The free wifi works really well.

I noticed some of the other reviewers mention noise. The walls between the rooms have reasonable sound insulation, they are not paper thin. I would imagine the neighbours would disturb you if they had a party or a domestic dispute, but otherwise you would need super sensitive hearing to be bothered by the neighbouring rooms.

The motel is well designed to minimise noise, however it is on the main road. Despite the 50khm zone outside the large b-double trucks still can make their presence felt, however this would only bother the most sensitive sleepers. I slept fine with the window wide open.

Excellent room & a friendly welcome after a long day of travelling. Would definitely recommend. Stayed at the Nicholas Royal Motel on our trip over & for a similar price get a much better room & very comfortable bed at the Saltbush.
