“Could not ask for more for the price paid.”

A lovely pleasant and functional room. A great location right in the middle of town. Its probably the second best motel stay I have had in country NSW.

The free wifi works really well.

I noticed some of the other reviewers mention noise. The walls between the rooms have reasonable sound insulation, they are not paper thin. I would imagine the neighbours would disturb you if they had a party or a domestic dispute, but otherwise you would need super sensitive hearing to be bothered by the neighbouring rooms.

The motel is well designed to minimise noise, however it is on the main road. Despite the 50khm zone outside the large b-double trucks still can make their presence felt, however this would only bother the most sensitive sleepers. I slept fine with the window wide open.

Excellent room & a friendly welcome after a long day of travelling. Would definitely recommend. Stayed at the Nicholas Royal Motel on our trip over & for a similar price get a much better room & very comfortable bed at the Saltbush.

“The best motel we've ever stayed in - great value, service and location!”

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying at the Saltbush Motor Inn in July en route to Broken Hill. We had the most wonderful time and couldn't wait to stay there a second night on the return journey!

The location is central, in walking distance to everything! Despite being on the main street, it was very quiet! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They were happy to suggest where to eat, places to visit and could even recommend the best roads to take on our trip. On both occassions the rooms were immaculate, warm and smart. There was a wet bar and dining table, a mirrored cupboard, a flat screen TV with Austar, an excellent reverse cycle heater/aircon and free Wifi. The shower was amazing - infact I would have paid the full tarrif just for that shower! We also particularly loved the cooked breakfasts - the best eggs I've had in a long time (and great value for money!)

We would recommend the Saltbush Motor Inn to anyone travelling to/through Hay! It's without a doubt the best motel we've ever staying in (internationally!) and has set a very high standard for our future road trips! Looking forward to staying there again in the future.

“Friendly, professional and very comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

My husband, our 5 month old son and I stayed in The Saltbush overnight on our way to Adelaide. The staff were very friendly and accommodating with our late arrival. The rooms were fabulous, new, clean and very comfy. The staff had put milk in the fridge for us and turned the heater on so we had a cosy arrival. The rooms were spacious and easily accommodated us with all the paraphernalia one has when travelling with an infant. We’d highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

“very good new motel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2010

High quality, modern and pleasant motel. Slight downsides: I was unable to connect to the WiFi, and I had some concerns that the walls were not well sound insulated. No problem if you have quiet neighbours, however I was woken at 2.00am by loud shouting in the street, presumably by patrons from the nearby pub.

Unfortunatley our customer had the wrong password, we change it from time to time , Customers just need to ask at reception, its ADSL 2 Broadband and is wireless into each suite all FREE.

There was a domestic despute in the main street on that night, the polce were called to the noise around 2am and it was all done in about 20 minutes.
