“A great weekend at Byron”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Myself and a few friends stayed here on Friday and Saturday nights. We took their largest apartment, unfortunately located above the office. Surprisingly, we didn't have any problems with this, despite partying quite loudly! My friends can get a bit wild.

The place is a 5 minute drive from the centre of Byron, but you can also walk along the beach for about 15 mins to get to the main squeeze. The beach is literally across the road.

We had an awesoem time in the resort pool, which is landscaped in a modern way with native flora. Both the pool and the large spa were heated. We were only told to keep the noise down once, whichw as fair enough because we were having a great time, and most of the other apartments face the pool. Staff were awesome as well!

The only complaint I have is that our apartment cost almost $790 for 2 nights, and one of the staff kept trying to tell me that if we had any more than 3 people staying (in a place that slept 6), we'd have to pay extra... pfft.

Thank you for your review! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay here at East on Byron.
It is a great location, that's for sure - especially being so close to the beach and being able to walk into town so easily.

I do remember you being in the pool as it was me who asked you to keep the noise down but you were very good apart from that! We are so glad you thought the staff awesome! We do our best to make sure that everyone enjoys the peaceful serenity of the surroundings.

Prices for our wonderful apartments are usually higher at weekends and prices are based on two people staying. It costs only $25 per extra person per night.
East on Byron is competitively priced for the standard of accommodation.

We really hope that you choose us again when holidaying in Byron Bay!

“Excellent facilities”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

This modern facility is really perfect for a family of 4, like us. OK, so the pool is a little small by Gold Coast standards but we had no complaints from our 11 and 13 year old in the 2 weeks we stayed here.
Being on the Belongil side of Byron does mean you need some transport if you dont want to risk the slightly more dangerous surf there. But a bike is perfect and there is a rental right next door.
The open plan works well with a good kitchen.
Its great to be away from the town centre.
My only gripe was that the wifi was very slow - but it is meant to be a holiday!

Thank you so much for your comments! We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us here at East on Byron. Our pool is definately popular with adults and children of all ages!
The walk along the beach from Belongil Beach to Main Beach is only 15 minutes (tide permitting) and a very short drive. People who stay here love the peace and quiet of Belongil, but also its proximity to the town centre.
Our poolside villas are perfect with families with smaller children and there is lots of room.

We certainly look forward to seeing you again at East!

“Great place to stay away from the main crowds”

We booked this because we got 2 bedrooms and a bit of space when compared to some other expensive and small apartments. Lots of space inside. Outside kitchen area in our apartment was great to cook our fresh prawns and crab purchased in byron. 2 minutes walk from a lovely beach (across the road) and 15-20 minutes walk into town along the beach. 2 doors down is a really great bar/coffee/food place - very low key and all ages welcome. The pool is a little small and suits kids really but we waded in and sat around the pool when we were not at the beach. All in all a quiet, clean and very enjoyable spot to have a break - just that little bit away from the big crowds and the traffic. Suit couples or families - they mingle easily here.

“The place to stay if you want the "wow factor"!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

We were lucky enough to get a last minute booking for a terrace villa at East the day before our arrival in Byron (esp since it was Xmas-new years period).

The external of the resort is nice but doesn't look like much from the street however the villas are AMAZING! The moment we stepped inside we felt super relaxed and were blown away by how luxurious everything was. We had an awesome balcony overlooking the garden and pool with built in BBQ kitchen inc. sink - there's also a private staircase that goes up to your own observation deck with views to the ocean. The villa has everything plus more than you could ever possibly need!

The only negative with the villa which didn't bother us though was the tv's - it just seemed odd to have big old fashioned tv's rather than flat screens when eveything else about the villa was first class (hardly a negative to be concerned about though).

Location is perfect as it's just across the road from the beach at Belongil so is only a 15 min walk into town along the beach - exactly what we wanted as we didn't want to be in the busy heart of town. It was very peaceful at East and every staff member we encountered were extremely friendly and genuine.

We would definitely stay at East again if we're up in Byron in the future!

“Fantastic location and room for the kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

Everything was as expected, very well fitted out with all the mod cons. Close to the town centre only a 15 minute stroll along the beach. Can not complain at all. Room was very clean, pool was delightful and the staff were very friendly and eager to assist. We will be back.
