Bryon Bay is beautiful- a great place to visit. But do yourself a favour and do not stay at Lakeside apartments.

The carpet in the apartment was dirty, dishwashing liquid and powder were not supplied, and when we arrived (unsurprisingly) the dishes in the kitchen cupboard were visibly dirty and smelly. We purchase dishwashing liquid and wash them ourselves for them to be used.

The carpet and couches felt dirty, The bathroom had black grime throughout and the hot or the cold symbol was missing from the tap in the bathroom (I can't remember which but it reflects how dilapidated the apartment was).

The apartment had a small court yard and table and chairs- however we could not used it as the dining set was covered in dirt and the court yard as a whole was covered in leave litter.

During our stay I slept in a single bed in the upstairs room- the bed was uncomfortably hard, it was stifling not as there was no air conditioning in the room, when we opened the window highway noise was too loud to allow us to sleep, and the fan in the room was also loud enough to make it difficult to get to sleep. My sheet also had a large hole in it. I usually have no difficulty sleeping but I experienced significant difficulty getting to sleep, and staying asleep during my stay here.

The other draw back of the apartments is the location- too far outside of Bryon to practically access the town without a car. The Bryon taxi service is good- however I would save your money and put it towards better accommodation closer to town.
Walking though the apartment complex we could see that other apartments were in much better condition which may explain the mixed reviews for the apartment son Trip Advisor.

My husband and young family stayed at Byron Lakeside Apartments last month and were
very happy to find our apartment was supberb with all modern comforts and appliances.
We stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with a wonderful outside bath and courtyard area. The management staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly and provided us with information about the Byron area. We plan on returning to this wonderful holiday complex as soon as our calendar allows us.

“marvellous, great value for money”

lovely spot for a family break, near enough to all the sights (if you have a car), far enough from the noise to enjoy it.
the family who own it were really helpful (heath i think?) and very welcoming on our arrival.
we stayed in a 3 bed apartment, all mod-cons, couldn't fault it.
even gained a discount on the booking, by making it over the phone.
would have been nice if there was a bar / restaurant within walking distance, but that's just personal preference.
pool area was great for the kids & right next to the bbq, so you can whip up some burgers while they splash about.

We booked to stay at the Lakeside for four nights,but ended up staying for eight.T place to stay.he houses,for they were bigger than apartments,were clean ,spaciious,modern,and clean.There was a swimming pool,and fantastic bbq area,and only a few minutes from a stunning tropical beach.The people who ran the Lakeside were so curteous and friendly......a superb location for a superb

“Fantastic home from home stay in Byron Bay”

Have joined tripadvisor just to review this property. I was almost put off going after reading the negative reviews on here, but I can honestly say the 3 bedroom house we stayed in was fantastic, it was clean, modern & well equiped the only negative thing about it was that I had to return home to my own old house. I am not sure where the unfriendly, rude staff were on our visit, as we were greeted by a friendly, warm man who spent a bit of time chatting with us & describing the best places to visit in the area. Byron Bay is amazing, as you would expect & I hope to return again & would definitely stay in the Byron Lakeside accomodation again
