Great location and very friendly staff but I was disapointed with the level of cleanliness of the rooms and balcony. The room I was in could definately use a coat of paint, there were dirty handprints and scuff marks everywhere and the floor was pretty dirty. When we first got there I noticed a lot of hair and lint on the floor. The balcony was really dirty, it wouldn't hurt them to sweep them up and clean the window once in awhile. There were also spider webs in the closet; all evidence to me that they don't take much time to clean and inspect the rooms. I've been to other Breakfree locations that I would go back to but I don't think I'd ever go back to this one. The pool is tiny, luckily it is only a short walk to the beach.

This was our first trip to a "breakfree" . Breakfree is the cheaper side of the Mantra hotel group. We were not sure what to expect given reviews of other breakfree hotels.
We were extremely and pleasantly surprised.
Sharon on front desk was excellent- friendly ,informative and helpful.
We had a 1 bedroom unit (15a) which was spacious clean and comfortable. Sea glimpse and backed onto bush.
Bed and pillows were good.
Easy walk to the town centre
Couldnt fault our stay. Would definately stay again.

Our stay in Byron was very enjoyable-the accommodation at Breakfree was OK, clean room and staff were helpful. The security left a bit to be desired though, the front door didn't appear to lock when the office was unattended at night. Communal areas were not as clean as one would like (including the spa) and the pool was small and only had direct sun for a brief period.

There are heaps of places to stay in Byron Bay but we were lucky to choose the eco beach. Sharon the women from the front desk was just amazing, super friendly and supportive with every question we had.

The apartments are nice to and perfect if you wanna have you own little kitchen and living area. We made use of the bbq area by the bool where everything was very clean.To access the beach you just have to cross the old rail tracks (not in use anymore) behind the apartment complex. Ask for a room with beach view which is much nicer and probably a bit quieter.

Really a great place to stay.
