“Love this place !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2012

My husband and I stayed here for Valentines day this year. The resort is beautiful and peaceful - surrounded by rainforest. The rooms are lovely and private. We both had a massage which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them. We ate at the restaurant and couldn't fault the food or the service.Overall - a great resort if you can afford the luxury - you get what you pay for here and we can't wait to go back !!

“My favourite resort”

I've had the privilege of staying 2 nights at the resort with my wife late last year. This is one of the most friendly, beautiful, relaxing resorts I have even been to. It is 5 star service all the way. Nothing is too much trouble and the rooms, grounds and resort in general are just stunning.

My wife and I ate at the restaurant only a couple of nights ago and I cannot rave enough about how beautiful it was.
Everything was perfect, the food exquisite and the service impeccable. We have been together for 22 years and it was quite possibly the best dinner out together we have ever had.

“Rainforest bliss”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2012

I was lucky enough to have and share a 2 day getaway package, which included breakfast, dinner, massage and wine! I went as part of a work reward, 7 of us lucky girls had a wonderful time. How could you not, dinner was amazing and I cant wait to go back just for that. The resort is glorious you are surrounded by a rainforest and a 10 minute walk to the beach which is a lovely walk thru the grounds. The rooms are lovely you feel like you are in another world not just a hotel room. The pictures on the website dont lie!!! We were happy to soak up the sun by the pool and only leave when it was time for dinner or our massage!! Would not hesitate to recommend this as a complete getaway for couples and mature people. It is not a place for party central teens or people who need to be entertained. it is a cruisey, relaxed place in an amazing setting. My only complaint would be not enough service around the pool, we would of loved more drinks and nibblys but it was hard to get!!! They more than made up for it at dinner, lovely attentive service. A tip for those who are unsteady on their feet or older be sure to ask for the rooms nearest the pool and restaurant otherwise it can be a long walk to and from.

Dear simi07

What a fabulous work reward! We're so glad you and your colleagues had a relaxing stay. You're not alone in lazing by the pool and moving only when you have to - that's what we're all about. Sorry, the pool service wasn't up to scratch, this feedback has been passed on to our Restaurant Manager and we're sure the pool service will be up to our restaurant standard before you return again.

Kind regards

“Gorgeous rainforest style hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2012

The Byron at Byron Resort and Spa is really special! It has rooms reached by boardwalks through its own rain-forest settings. The rooms are open plan with 2 balconies with netting to stop the insects coming in. We had an "everglades" room. The staff were very helpful and they delivered and collected our luggage by golf buggy. There is a little shop on site where I got some unusual pomegranate perfume! The breakfast was vast and varied and they get their coffee imported from Italy and checked regularly to check it's up to standard. A 5 min walk along the boardwalks in one direction you come to a beautiful lake. The other way across a small road and you are right on the stunning Byron Bay with views of Cape Byron lighthouse. The spa and outdoor pool are very inviting. This hotel is the perfect place to get pampered and relax. Excellent!

Room Tip: Everglades rooms are lovely

“Paradise exists!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My wife, baby boy and I stayed at The Byron for three nights. The location is amazing, the accommodation is first class and the attendance by the service staff was brilliant. We came to celebrate our 10 yr anniversary and as soon as Chrissy the manager got a hint of it, she organised wine, lifts into town and just made us feel great. We would go back in a heartbeat - in fact I miss it already.
Also, the neighbouring beach is one of the best I have been to. Thanks one and all for making our stay so fantastic. Our tip - make sure you try their Byron brand coffee. This place knows how to make a good coffee!
