It is dirty, very outdated, and way overdue for a major refurb. Advertised as "boutique" hotel, which I thought included being modern - wrong. After inspection, decided not to stay as we definitely would not have enjoyed it. Didn't bother staff, and they seemed to be used to that.

Right across the road from the beach, what more can I say, great location, walking distance to everything. Nice rooms, clean, lovely staff, free parking which is great so central. Relaxing by the pool and kid friendly! Massive thumbs up.

We last stayed at The Beach Hotel about 5 years ago and loved it. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Location is not enough any longer. We planned half our stay elsewhere and the final part at The Beach Hotel. In comparison to the last stay here and our previous place we just left, the hotel feels tired, shabby, dark and overpriced. The bed feels damp, towels feel worn and the shower is sparse. With all the simple, clean, fresh luxury accomodation available in Byron there is simply no excuse to charge the earth and deliver a massive let down.
We'll never stay here again.

Air-con broken down, pool much smaller than pictured on the website, lots of noise from the nightclub nextdoor, terrible service from the frankly hostile concierge. All in all.. A disaster. Stay elsewhere.
