“Perfect enchanting spot”

We have now had 2 family holidays at this farmstay - we loved it so much that we went back a few months after our first visit and had yet another great week staying at the farm. The holiday cottages are simple but very clean and tidy and the location overlooking the small lake is stunning. Breakfast on the verandah with the birds chirping and the cows mooing was a lovely way to start the day. Although you are only 10 minutes drive from Byron Bay, it feels a world away and is unbelievably peaceful. Our children (2 and 4) loved going out in the little rowing boat on the lake and we also enjoyed some of the bush walks around the property and spotted a platypus and lots of turtles in the creek. The owners are supremely helpful and friendly and it was fun for the children to visit the chickens and the goats. I have recommended this farmstay to anyone thinking of going to Byron Bay as it provides a wonderful contrast to the busy bustle of the town, yet that is right there on the doorstep whenever you want it. Great place - don't change a thing - we loved it and will be back!

“Great service by sweet owners!”

My wife and I stayed with our daughter for two nights in november 2011. The cottage was perfectly clean and the owners were very nice. This is the place to go if you want some relaxing days close to nature. A car is required if you want to go to Bangalow or Byron Bay. Our daughter loved to feed the chickens and we enjoyed a sip of wine on the veranda in the evening, overlooking the lake and listen to the birds and cicadas. Combined with the spirit of downtown Byron Bay ten minutes drive away, you got a great holiday cocktail.

“Relaxing”

We stayed a mere two nights here and wished it could have been longer. It is a wondrous place, cows and calves, and an enchanting pair of goats. The cabin was well appointed, although we found it a bit odd to pay extra to have our beds made up - I mean, do people really travel around Australia with sheets and pillowcases in their bags. If we stay here again, and we plan to, we would bring our own pillows as those provided were oddly solid and uncomfortable. But a beautiful place.

“Farm in peaceful surroundings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

We only stayed for two nights in October 2011 and were sad when we had to leave. This is like every girls dream come true. A farm in peaceful surroundings, cows mooing at dawn, a little bit of rowing on a lake full with water lilies, and the view. Simply perfection and an Anne of Green Gables feeling!

The cabin is basic, clean and spacious.

“calm and cozy”

We had lovely two weeks in July to escape winter from NZ. The cabins were just right for us four, and the kids really liked the farm and surroundings. Byron is really close too, so all activities in/around town are easy to get to. It's also a perfect spot to explore the backcountry.
Would love to come back again,

Ulrich, Birgit, Jule & Ann-Marie
