A little expensive for Ballina but in our opinion worth the extra. It's just a hotel room but nice local-town staff and not tourist-oriented was a nice change after the Gold Coast. Perfect location on the river and although the pool area has the worst view in Ballina, it is a good size pool to relax in. Room was slightly claustrophobic for a longer stay but for an overnighter it was just fine.

The hotel facilities are really appalling - carpets need replacing, it needs to be repainted, curtains need replacing, furniture needs to be spruced up.
The location is good and staff were friendly, but the facilities are really, really tired.

Stayed here on the way to Brisbane
There are TWO Ramada hotels in this town! One brand new and the other (the one I stayed in) decidedly run down. Couldn't work out whether this was an apartment block (some were privately owned) with hotel rooms or the other way around. Needs a complete re vamp. I thought I was staying in the new hotel a couple of hundred yards away and was embarassed when told I was trying to book into the wrong place - be warned!
