“Outstanding”

Just got back from 4 days at the Greenacres Cottages and loved every minute.
The cottages are finished to a high standard of luxury. Everything was catered for from tea towels to dishwashing tablets. I travelled with 2 friends and a 5 month old baby we were more than happy with the accomodation. A travel cot and high chair were in the cottage on our arrival, the cottage was so warm with the central heating and extemely hot when we lit the log fire. The cottage was very well equiped with everything from wine glasses to a rolling pin! It was very peaceful and we slept well in the beds and the bathrooms were lovely. Sky TV was a bonus for the evenings and wireless broadband. The pool was lovely and no one in it just us. We were out and about every day in the glorious Cornish countyside. We opted for the fine dining and Eden Project break, the Eden Project was great and the meal at Beaumonts Restaurant was superb.
Great mini break away and will definately be coming back !!! :)

“What a find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2009

These cottages are excellent and I could recommend them to anyone. The standard of fittings is really good and the cottage we had (No3) had two beds and three baths - all of a really good standard, the bathrooms sparkled they were so clean. My only complaint would be that there were no recommendations for local restaurants in the information book but neighbours staying in the development gave us some suggestions. Don't hesitate to use this development, you will not be disappointed.

“Superb - recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2009

A lovely location and superbly finished accommodation. Everything we needed for our week including the excellent swimming pool which we used daily, often exclusively.
Broadband, Freeview and DVD players were useful when the weather was ropey.

I'm very fussy with regard to noise and privacy in holiday cottages. These cottages seem very well insulated and we heard nothing from our neighbouring families, although traffic noise from the A390 road was apparent as we keep our windows open at night.

Only slight issue was the oven which caused the smoke detectors to sound no matter how careful we were, and the combi boiler meant we couldn't use both showers at once. Not a major problem with two small children. An issue with teenagers?

Should we holiday in the area again, we would return without hesitation.

“Total - get-away-from-it-all Luxury! - I wish I could move in!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 July 2009

What a find! - we managed to book one of these wonderful cottages for just £99 a night (last min booking!).

There are 2 rows of terraced cottages, one very modern looking curved set of 5 and one more traditional row of stone cottages (also 5 cottages in this row) - all cottages are new, only finished in september 2008.

The finish is superb - no corners cut, the kitchen, bathrooms (yes that is plural!) & all curtains, towels & furnishings are obviously of really high quality.
Each kitchen is fully equipped, including a freezer / fridge & dishwasher (they even supply dishwasher tablets & teatowels!!).
It was wonderful to arrive to find tea bags & (UHT) milk ready to make a good old cup of tea before unpacking the car!

There is a reception area on site (though this is rarely staffed - we didn't find this to be a problem as there was EVERYTHING we needed, and more, and there was no need at all to complain!!). Our cottage keys & welcome pack were waiting for us!

A huge draw for us was the onsite indoor swimming pool - small but great for a quiet dip after a long hot day walking around the eden project - or the much more interesting lost gardens of heligan.

There is also a lovely childrens play area to the rear of the pool building which would be visible from the modern row of cottages.

We stayed in cottage number 2, (cottage 1 and 2 don't have any grass in the back garden - just patio, but it was fine! - even a brick built bar-b-q & really comfortable expensive looking out-door furniture!).
The row of traditional terraced cottages look out onto the small carpark to the rear and then open country-side, with cows grazing and amazing views! - I could gaze for hours at!

Our cottage was 2 bedroomed (I think they all are: one twin & one double) the double, to the rear of the property had an ensuite shower room with loo & washbasin. off the landing there was also a family bathroom (bath only - no shower). Downstairs there was also a downstairs loo & shower room (this would be great for anyone using the sofa bed; if slept to capacity these wonderful cottages sleep 6 adults!).

There is a flatscreen TV in each bedroom & a lovely big TV & DVD player in the lounge area. An added bonus is free wireless internet connection (should you fancy taking your laptop! - though personally I'd rather just relax!).

What I did find charming was the honesty box in the fridge at reception, where you could purchase bare essentials, milk, eggs, local honey & locally made jam. (there is a supermarket not too far away!)

Dogs are permitted in the cottages (though not sure I dare take on - the cottages are SO immaculate!).

You have quite a walk to the nearest restaurant or pub should you want that sort of thing but with a fully equipped kitchen and better yet BBQ why not just get that charcoal lit and sit back with a lovely chilled glass of wine & enjoy the wonderful views!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these charming cottages! - totally stunning!

don't just sit there! - book them NOW!

“Fantastic cottages in a lovely location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2008

I found this accommodation through another website notifying about travel offers and what a find! The cottages opened in Sept 08 and the owners have made a fantastic job. We stayed in the more modern looking block but from what I could see, the more traditional block looked just as good inside.

All cottages are 2 bedroom but there is a sofabed so each cottage can sleep 6 adults, apart from one I believe. We have twins and they supplied 2 travelcots (new) which fitted easily into the twin room. Some cottages have 1 bedroom with ensuite. Ours had a bathroom (no bath) on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor which I suppose you would describe as luxury! The living/kitchen/dining area was large and very comfortable with lcd tv and dvd player. There is also a small patio outside each cottage with table and chairs. On site is a lovely swimming pool, laundry and a childrens play area.

We went on a 'Garden Break' which included tickets to The Eden Project for all people staying in the cottage and tickets to Pinelodge Gardens which are within 3 miles. All this for £240 for 4 nights! A bargain!

We shall definitely be recommending it and hope to go back in the near future! Hopefully the photos do it justice.
