We arrived at Boscastle youth hostel so late after being caught in a horendous traffic jam on the m5 that we missed the opportunity to cook our dinner. So ran up the Cob Web Inn at about 10:45pm to drown our sorrows. After mentioning our journey to the landlord and our hunger he went off somewhere in the village and came back with pasties for all four of us -hot and tasty. We couldn't believe this wonderful act of kindness. It was almost midnight by the time we had eaten them, helped down with a few well pulled pints. Good show Cob Web, we will return.

We recently held my mother's 80th birthday party in the restaurant at the cobweb. It was the best carvery I've ever tasted. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the meat was delicious. They even made the most tasty apricot stuffing - we want the recipe!! All the staff went out of their way, particularly Norman, to make sure that mum had the best party ever and they succeeded. We have been going to the cobweb for years and have always had good meals. The atmosphere is lovely especially when they have the fires lit.

We have been going to the Cobweb at various times since 2003 during our visits to Boscastle and have been absolutely captivated by the place ever since. It is everything that a country pub should be - flag stone floors, low beams, dark wood, good beer, and reasonably priced good quality food. The meal we had last night was delicious as always. So many places have been turned into modern gastro pubs. It is refreshing to see one which has resisted the temptation to change. Long may it continue as a traditional country pub.

Went for a meal at this pub. Was just about to order when rude barmaid called me a fool when she thought i was out of earshot. Extremely upsetting so we left straight away. Very disappointed especially after reading all of the lovely reviews.
