Stayed here for 2 nights last week and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Spotlessly clean modern rooms with flat screen multi channel TV. Excellent home cooked food (delicious steak and kidney pudding) and couple of real ales on hand pump. Superb breakfast with top quality bacon, sausage and black pudding on offer. Delicious eggs benedict too. Lovely quiet location, friendly locals and helpful staff. Will I return? Certainly

A group of friends and I decided to avoid the overpriced hustle and bustle of London and look for a traditional English pub to eat and drink the night away in. What was delivered was well above expectation for all of us.
We opted for the sit down festive meal which was three courses of food that should make some of the supposed Michelin starred restaurants of London hang their heads in shame, followed by a night of drinking, dancing and karaoke. At Midnight all the tables were handed Chinese lanterns to set off in the beer garden and that was really the icing on the cake, it was by far the best NYE that I have had. So much so that we have all decided to go back again this year.

With regards to the accommodation, each room is akin to a chalet and they are extremely well equipped, clean and warm. We stayed for two nights and have no complaints at all.

I can't recommend this Inn enough for it's great beer, food and lovely staff.

As a small group of couples we booked in to the hotel in the afternoon of New Years Eve. The rooms where lovely, felt like home and had everything we needed. For the evening we had taken them up on their special set menu option. The food was fantastic! The rest of the evening we all felt accommodated by the land lady and her staff. The following morning we had the full English breakfast. We had such a great time that we have already booked another New Years Eve there. We all highly recommend the Crown & Garter.
