We stayed at the La Suisse Apartments in August for a few days. The Apartments in Bury Old Road are situated in Prestwich; just a bit in the
North of Manchester. For public transport you have a bus stop just close by at the street bringing you into the city centre as well as to the city centre of Bury. Up the street you find a Tesco Express as well as a Chinese take away and a chippie shop for instance.

The Apartments itself are perfectly equipped. Modern high standard kitchen equipment as well as modern furniture. The service is perfect as well as your apartment is cleaned everyday. If you need anything, for instance extra towels or if you have any further question the owners and service staff are there to help you at all times. The Apartments are also very clean.

We've been there a lot of times and have stayed in nearly all of the apartments available at La Suisse. They are all very nice and offer you the perfect surrounding for a lovely holiday. For us the apartments are great as it only takes about 15 minutes to drive into the city by car; having a Tesco supermarket and a motorway connection nearby and can simultaneously enjoy the comfort and quiet of our apartment. It is also ideally situated for Manchester United supporters as we are as you can easily join the M60 ring road within minutes and then drive until Old Trafford in a very short and easy way.

We would definitely recommend La Suisse Apartments as they possess and offer everything you need to spend a perfect holiday, so to speak the perfect place to stay!

We have stayed in La Suisse Apartments a number of times when we visit family and friends in the area.The facilities offered by the apartments both in comfort and convenience are the best in the area. We are always made welcome.

We had to come to Manchester to help a family member move house, and were originally planning on staying in a hotel. We've done this before, and it can be very hard - once the baby's asleep you find yourself stuck in a dim room not wanting to make a sound so as not to wake the baby, and time drags somewhat!

I found this place just by chance on Laterooms, and I'm actually in the apartment now. The check in guy had to come and meet us because there is no reception, but he appeared when he said he would (we had to ring 20 mins in advance of arrival) and was friendly and full of advice about the area. The apartments are perfect for our needs - decent kitchen, bathroom, living room and a bedroom, so we can actually have a life here whilst wee man is asleep.

It was only £70 a night for friday and saturday, which seems very good value. All in all, very satisfied.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the ground floor apartment when we were seeing an Oasis gig at Heaton Park. Ideal location, only a 15 walk to the venue. Although I'd already paid over the phone, when we got there (at a pre-arranged time) the owner seemed very dis-organised and had us waiting around for some time before getting out a file full of paperwork and taking my card details again, making us fill out a form stating almost everything except our shoe size! A very unnecessary and tedious procedure, especially as we were eager to put our stuff in the room and get going to the gig.
Also, the continental breakfast consisted of a box of cornflakes and 2 slices of white bread wrapped in clingfilm, tea & coffee all in separate sandwich bags. Decor reminded me of a 1980's florida hotel, plastic leather effect sofas, pink & lilac walls, cheap furniture, the place would definately benefit from a little modernising. Perfectly clean and tidy though so can't fault that at all. I think if we were staying in Manchester again, we'd stay in that travel inn mentioned in the previous review.
