“Loved It!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2007

Our family thought this was a GREAT place. Very spacious, clean apartment like hotel. Included a kitchen with pots, pans, dishes, cups, silverware, dishwasher with detergent. Has satellite TV. It is five minutes from Hershey Park. Housekeeping came in the morning and cleaned up, the people at the desk were very helpful with anything we needed, whether it was something for the room or directions to an attraction or restaurant. Yes, the person behind the desk was in a travel agency, but that person gave us their undivided attention anytime we went in for something. We will definitely stay there again next time we go to Hershey!!!

“Close to area attractions”

We would definitly stay here again! Only a few minutes to Hershypark and Indian Echo Caverns. Located in a quaint little town with a good pizza restaurant across the street and a pharmacy next door. There is a train that travels thru town a few blocks away, but the sound didn't bother us at all. Having to use a key for the elevator and stairway made me feel secure. Front desk associates were very nice and accomadating. Lots of space and privacy in the two bedroom suite. King size bed was very comfortable. LOTS of closet space. A small TV in the master bedroom would have been nice since my two 15 year old boys took over the living room TV! Bathroom was very nice with updated marble and very clean. Kitchen area was nice with granite counters, full size fridge, stove and dishwasher. There are pots but if you plan to cook you will need to bring a frying pan, cooking pan for oven & dish soap. Overall we had a wonderful three night stay!

  • Liked — Location and lots of space.
  • Disliked — No pool and spots on rug.

“Don't stay here unless you have a back up plan”

DON'T STAY HERE. I booked my reservation one month in advance through EXPEDIA. When I arrived at the "hotel" I was informed by a girl, behind a desk in a travel agency, That they had cancelled my reservation that morning when a guest had decided to extend their stay. This is a small hotel and is run by the owner. The owner was no where to be found. What the hotel had done was change my reservation to 15 miles away in downtown Harrisburg. Expedia was not much help either. After about an hour they said the found 1 room (instead of the 2 we had) at a Quality Inn. When we arrived at this hotel it was almost empty and said it had adjoining rooms. I tried to call Expedia back. The person who I talked to said he could do nothing and I would have to wait on hold for at least an hour to talk to a supervisor. My 70 year old parents, my handicapped daughter and I all stayed in one room. This was supposed to be relaxing? Now EXPEDIA won't let me review on their site because I booked as a guest

  • Liked — I never got to see anything other than a dark damp walkway and a counter in a travel agency
  • Disliked — The total lack of consideration of the owner and staff by cancelling me reservation to extend another guests stay

“perfect for a Hershey weekend!”

Very cute apartment-house converted into a suites hotel- in the middle of a cute little town with a diner, pizza place right downstairs, another italian restaurant, coffee/tea/breakfast place across the street, pharmacy right downstairs. Ample parking in back. Plenty of fast food places around, plus other chain family-friendly restaurants.
Yes you do need a key to access elevator but so what? It's safer that way!
We booked a one-bedroom but got bumped up to a 2-bedroom, which was great. Nice beds, kids room had nice trundle beds which were a hit, NEW kitchens with granite and Kohler fixtures, nice bathrooms and showers- and YES THERE IS HOUSEKEEPING! We saw them every day (3 days) and there ARE phones in each unit! Plus Satellite TV! Went with my sis and her family and their suite was HUGE! BIgger than a NYC apartment!
The staff is very nice and accomodating-
VERY CLOSE TO HERSHEY!!!!
Downfall: no pool on site but can use a neighboring hotel's pool. We did not have time for a pool since we were there for a park, but if staying longer, this might be an issue.
Also, Hotel ran out of "discount" Hershey tix onsite but actually if you have a coupon from Dunkin' Donuts or Giant or one of the places that has coupons, the tix at the park are cheaper w/ that coupon than if purchased at hotel.

“Spacious but That's It”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2007

We arrived early and our room was ready. OK accommodations, certainly not top shelf. The hotel is by the only traffic light in town and its a major intersection then gets busier (it seemed) as the night wore on. When harley davidson's weren't waking us up, the train (which runs every 30 minutes throughout the night) woke us.

Housekeeping is only so-so, they promised to run the dishwasher but didn't, there was no dish detergent either.

Altogether a nice setup, but it needs more attention to detail.

If you are used to street noise, this place may be ok, otherwise bring ear plugs.
