I was a little skeptical when we pulled in, as the neighborhood looks a bit sketchy. Two check cashing places and an adult bookstore within 1/2 a block, sidewalks crumbling, older neighborhood. But once settled in, it was quite decent. Cozy fireplace in the lobby with newspapers, coffee, tea and cookies. Entirely adequate, if standard, continental breakfast. Rooms are smallish, shower and no tub. I liked that the heater was not a forced air, which can be so annoying when you're trying to sleep.
There is a microwave and small fridge. The TV was small and circa 1995, but it worked and reception was clear.
It's an older hotel. I saw where someone wrote that it was "recently constructed". I don't think so. Looks like at least 30 years old to me, probably more. But it is clean, the staff is friendly and professional. Parking is tight. There is a diner next door, which will provide "room service" (i.e., they deliver). Bend has a lot of great dining options so we didn't try the diner.
It seemed a little overpriced to me. Granted, our stay was over the Thanksgiving weekend, but still, compared to other 3-star hotels, it was significantly more expensive, and after staying there, I would estimate the room rate to be about 15-20% too high. As a 3-star hotel, I rate it 4 out of 5.
