There are better places to stay in Ponca City than this, at a better price. First off, I booked a double non-smoking room and got a smoking room instead. Second, the very small room had only a bracket to hang clothes in, and with just two sport coats, two pairs of slacks, and two shirts it pulled out of the wall and fell to the floor; in looking at it, this had happened several times before. Third, and most disgusting, there were roaches all over the bathroom. Supposedly this place was built in 1999; maybe it was remodeled then, but it looks like it was built in 1959, and the years have not been kind. The staff (all one of them) was at least understanding; in talking to her I found that one of the front desk folks had quit, leaving only two to cover the desk 24 hours a day, and that the owners wouldn't be back into town for another week; until then they couldn't even put up a 'help wanted' sign.

I'm now having to leave my suitcase in my car to bake for a couple of weeks in the heat just in case some baby roaches found there way into my luggage.

Other than that . . . the room was overpriced, but every other hotel/motel you'll find online in Ponca City is overpriced, too! ($75/night for Motel 6?!) No restaraunt, no room service, no spa, no swimming pool. And the alarm clock didn't work either.

Great place for the price, overnight road trip, perfect.

I am not sure what the other reviewers were expecting. This Super 8 is a modest Motor Hotel come Super 8. I got exactly what I paid for: a clean, quiet room with a good comfy bed, coffee in my room and a lite breakfast in the morning and truly free Wi-Fi. What more is there to ask for? Staff was great in accommodating my late arrival.

I stayed in room 141 ( a smokers room - yet lacked the stale smell of smoke) which allowed me a view of the garden area in front that was possibly the old swimming pool. Granted, it was February with little to see but I wasn't looking out over an asphalt jungle nor was I looking into another person's room. I prefer one level Hotels to 2 story when traveling alone as my car is easily seen from my window. Good thick cement block walls to drown out neighboring rooms. Good water pressure and while it is true they do not have tubs, the shower is a standard tub size and as I have said...very clean.

I say again, SUPER clean.room. Plenty of outlets to plug in all my gadgets. Shampoo and soap, extra towels and a hairdryer with a night light built in. The room was small but the king size bed does take up some space.

I had everything I could possibly need: Microwave, compact refrigerator, hanging area for my clothes, suitcase stand, TV, side tables and a desk. And did I mention the comfy bed?

Yes, it is slightly dated however, for your moneys worth don't hesitate to stay. It isn't the The Orleans in Vegas but neither does it have the price tag.

Easy location to get anywhere in town....I highly recommend Dixie Dog Drive-In down the road to the South of the hotel and Daily Grind coffee house downtown.

I booked this room using points, and it was worth what I paid. Small room, unfriendly service, really old, poor TV reception.
