Reserved a double occupancy for two nights, for a wheel chair accessible room. Both adults disabled and on portable O2. Secured reservation with credit card, arrived after 8:00 Pm. Paid for rooms. Was given a room that was in no way, wheel chair accessible, in fact it was not ready for a double occupancy as only towels for one, in room. The "roll in" shower consisted of a 4X4 shower stall with a couple of grab bars and a bench seat...no hose just the shower head. The stall also had at least a three inch lip to go over to get into the shower. The air conditioner controls had both control knobs removed and one control shaft was broken and spinning uselessly. When I went back to the desk to complain, the clerk at first tried to say that this is what I reserved until I told her that I had already called their national number and had the reservation read back to me. Then her answer was that she couldn't do anything about it and that the manager would be in in the morning. Morning came and about 0900 the manager called the room and started saying that the practical joke I had been put into was a handicap room. I told her that two grab bars and a bench seat didn't turn a 4X4 shower stall into a "roll in" shower by any stretch of the imagination. Besides, where the room was, necessitated a 30 to 40 foot walk from the closest place We could get the car....Nice, if you"re on O2 with a lot of luggage. I explained that I had called the national reservation line back and had spoken with a supervisor and was waiting for a call from consumer relations. I was told we would be moving to an accessible room. Finally, about 3 hours after check out time we were given another room. I shot half a day waiting for these people to do what they should have done in the first place. The new room was acceptable. All in all the whole thing gave me the feeling that because I took advantage of a senior discount I was expected to take whatever I was given. I am still waiting for accor consumer relations to get in touch......guess I will reach out and touch them instead I can't say that this was standard for this property but I will not ever consider staying here again nor will I recommend it to anyone....
