My sister and I wanted to spend some time away from family and friends and just relax and enjoy each other's company. My sis lives in Tulsa and I live in Woodward, OK so we picked Enid as a kind of half way point to meet. She called her AAA company and this was one of the motels they recommended. I had gone to www.tripadvisor and looked up reviews and photos of Best Western. The reviews were bad, but the photos were very nice and so I told my Sis to book the room for 3 days. I got to the motel first and discovered that my phone did not work. So I went to the front desk and told them. By the time I got back to my room there was the maintance man working on it and he fixed it. Then we discovered the remote control's battery was dying, again I went to the front desk and they immediately took care of the problem. Each time we had a request they kindly addressed my concerns or needs. That impressed my sis and me.
The sunroom with the pool and hot tub were an especially wonderful amenity that we gratefully appreciated. The only things that we did not particularly like was the smoke that hung in the air in the halls (we are both allergic to cigerette smoke) and the price of the room ($84.60+tax with a senior discount). My sis felt that the linens were a little discolored and threadbared, but that was not a concern to me as long as everything was clean, and it appeared to be. The staff was extrordinary and efficent and friendly and helpful. That was what we noticed the most during our 3 days there. I also want to mention that I liked the added security of entrance doors that required motel card-keys in order to enter them. One thing they might consider though is putting lights in the back of the motel because when we would walk after our meal it was scary when we walked back there. All-in-all it was a nice stay, but rather expensive for what we got.
