I stayed here Sunday Oct 10th and Monday the 11th 2010 for a business visit nearby in Russell's Point. I talked to the very nice front desk clerk to see if it was still possible to get Holiday Inn points since the sign was still up, but the best she offered was to give me equivalent status in the Best Western program. Rooms were clean, but no trash cans in the room at all (must have had HIE stamped in the side). All references to HIE were marked out on TV guides, etc. but the breakfast bar was the good fare normally offered at HIE's. I arrived when the choir or glee club from Bowling Green University was disgorging from their bus. I use this term since after having trouble getting to sleep from all the talking and singing in the halls late, I found the remains of someone's late drinking spree on the hallway floor. Much the the hotel's credit, it was gone when I came back to the room after breakfast. There was a large Flat panel HDTV in room 233, along with a fridge and microwave. I -75 traffic is noticeably louder here than most hotels near the interstate. earplugs were required to get to sleep. Walmart and Lowes are on the main street off the exit a little further west, and the Neil Armstrong museum is across that same street on the north side (Hence the presence of Lunar and Apollo drives). Went to check out the museum, but they are closed on Mondays and holidays, of which the 11th was both. If you happen to be visiting the Honda Transmission plant over in Russell's Point, its about 25 minutes away, a simple drive. I did not see any accommodations near the plant. Not a bad place to stay, but given the ultra quick brand change (I watched the sign crew working on the new sign Tuesday evening), I wish I would have been warned since I feverishly collect Priority Club points.
