Stayed here in April, 2009 with my father while in Upper Sandusky on business. For us the location was perfect right next to the highway. At check in the girl was very nice and friendly. Lobby/breakfast area was small but clean. Got a room on the second floor, no elevators. The building is horse shoe shaped and our room was on the inside side of the hallway. Not much to look at out the window except a small grassy area and the rooms on the other side of the hotel. We weren't there for the view anyway so it didn't matter and by being on the inside side of the hallway we heard absolutely no noise from the highway traffic. The room was basic but clean as was the bathroom. The only complaint I have was with the shower drain. It didn't drain fast enough and I ended up finishing my shower standing in ankle deep rinse water.
We didn't swim but checked out the pool and pool area. It looked clean and the water felt warm but smelled heavily chlorinated. The hallway going to the pool area also smelled of chlorine. The exercise room consisted of a treadmill and a stair stepper and smelled like a locker room. The breakfast area was small and had limited selection compared to other hotels I've been in. They had waffles, cereal, instant oatmeal, OJ, milk, donuts, eggs, sausage, a couple bananas and apples. The sausage and eggs were out of the question since they were cooked ahead of time and left in a covered dish over ice.
Overall, for the price and location the hotel satisfied our needs for a clean place to sleep, grab a quick breakfast and leave. If coming to the area again I would stay here again. The websites pictures show an accurate description of the rooms pool, grounds, etc.
