The unit has a kitchenette/ lounge, bathroom with shower/spa and a bedroom containing a standard double bed. The unit is clean and neat and reasonably modern and with just two there is plenty of room. The bed is comfortable and has electric blanket fitted for the winter.
Kitchen is well kitted out. Now the bad news is in the unit we had if you want a spa or shower the water barely gets above luke warm and you will be shivering on a cool morning. Service was not great with the owner absent when we arrived although there is a phone outside reception to speak to him. Theres a small cafe just over the road or a 5 minute walk will take you into where the Gordon River Cruises leave from and the main restaurants are situated. Overall reasonable value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kitty's Cottages - we stayed with another couple for 2 nights and found the management friendly and helpful, the rooms homely, comfortable, and spotless and the in room spa was great! It was located in a residential area, straight across the road from a little store/takeaway, but only an easy 10 minute walk from the centre of town. Strahan is well worth visiting although in my opinion 2 nights is more than enough. We enjoyed dinner at the very popular seafood restaurant located on the waterfront and had a wonderful time on the afternoon Gordon River Cruise - well worth doing.

OK, the information provided makes this clear, but we weren’t the only couple that thought that it had to be at least a queen bed. Nope – exactly as stated and one that’s seen better days. This would be a reasonable place to stay if it wasn’t for the bed. It’s a little “chintzy” and a bit old-fashioned, but it’s very clean, has a large living/kitchen space and a nice bathroom. Although it’s on the main road into town and opposite a general store, it’s quiet at night. But with such a poor bed, there is no way I could recommend this place. And watch out for the hot and cold taps – they are opposite to normal practice.
