“Quality self-contained cabins close to the Port Arthur Historic Site”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

The cabins are located in close proximity to the Port Arthur Historical Site and although the rooms are fairly basic they have everything you would need for a comfortable stay for a couple of days with a good kitchen with full size fridge etc. Even though it was fully booked the night we stayed it was very quite and we got a good nights sleep. The manager was very helpful, providing advice on accessing the historical site and areas to visit on the way to Hobart. Would recommend to friends when visiting Port Arthur.

“Basic but very comfortable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2011

Great location to Port Arthur site. Basic but very comfortable, home away from home. The heat pump wasnt working though, which is a shame as it was very cold, but we mangaged to heat up the unit nicely with the little heater that Wally provided. Very quiet and peaceful, beautiful gardens even though the weather outside didnt allow for us to go for a wander.

Heat pump had failed and was being replaced - Advised guest that it was taking 5 weeks and provided them with large fan heater, which would have been move than adequate!

“'the room served its purpose'”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 April 2011

On the positive side-the manager was helpful and the room had everything we needed. The negatives of the stay- the room smelt of last months roast, maybe a couple of windows open before we arrived would have helped. It is always off putting when you see a kitchen sink that is all stained with grime and has hair in the drain-some gloves and a bit of bleach will do the trick and don't forget to do the mugs as they are in need of a good clean to remove all the tea stain.

“Great location, good price, kids loved it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 April 2011

The villa was really comfortable - good kitchen, soft new towels in the bathroom, good heating and the kids loved chasing the rabbits around the property. It is a walk to Port Arthur historic site...in fact you can see the villas from the gardens at Port Arthur. The owner had gone to the effort of creating a couple of information packs which had details on where to eat in the area plus sample menus, supermarkets and places to see in addition to the historic site. Showers only, there was no bath in the villa we had.

“Great Value and Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2011

My partner and I stayed at Port Arthur Villas for two nights in late March 2011. I had looked at other options but this was clearly the best value for the money. The owner and staff were both very helpful and eager to please. The accommodation was spacious and clean, with a full ktichen and a dining/seating area. The best part was that the establishment is an easy 5-minute walk from the Port Arthur monument; the staff will arrange your visit to Port Arthur and give you a key to the back gate of the monument for easy access. For a combination of great value and location, Port Arthur Villas cannot be beat.
