$150 per night for a 4 star Terrace room – king size bed, flat screen cable television, beautifully refurbished. Booked through their own website – photos of rooms were accurate. No undercover parking. Stayed 1 night. Helpful staff who hung around until we arrived – running late after lost baggage on flight. They sorted our rooms, helped us with drinks and recommended a pizza delivery as it was 9pm on a Sunday night. Hotel is tucked down the end of a quiet street on the river and looks very plain from outside but once in your room you can see the attention to detail and quality of the renovations. Our 4 couples had first floor rooms with balconies to the carpark. Breakfast was buffet or a la carte. With the a la carte you could pay $2 extra and have the buffet as well. I normally have muesli for breakfast which I had brought with me though it was sadly still in my luggage on its way from Melbourne. Breakfast staff would not let me pay the $2 extra on my husband’s a la carte breakfast to share the buffet so unfortunately I paid the buffet price of $11 for a bowl of Just Right and a glass of juice. I don’t even drink coffee. Them’s the breaks. Others had wonderful meals including eggs Florentine, local smoked salmon etc. I would definitely stay here again. Convenient to pick up bikes from boat and lovely rooms. I’ll just pack my muesli in my carry on luggage!

We stayed here in a terrace room when we arrived after travelling on the Spirit of Tasmania. Lovely room, good service and excellent value for money!

Unplanned trip to Devonport allowed us to find the Edgewater. What a nice surprise. From the outside it looks like any normal basic motel but once in our rooms, we were pleasantly surprised. Very large room with king bed and a very comfortable single rollaway for our 11 year old son. Great bathroom with the best spa. Kitchenette, A/C, 2 x T.V's and a small balcony so we could view the Spirit of Tasman leaving. The room was so very clean and all the staff we spoke with were very helpful. I would definitely recommend and also come back to the Edgewater.

One of those places where the website makes it look much better than it actually is, but then you get what you pay for. Arrived late on a Sunday night, after a long day of travelling from country Qld, were told that there were no meals on a Sunday night but were given a list of alternatives. Only stayed one night and the shower was hot and the bed comfortable.
