I had a super saturday lunch recently at The Horse Guards. Delicious food, creative decor, attentive staff etc BUT definitely not very keen on our children. We were under the impression that we would be v welcome but this was not the case. We came with another family so 4 adults and 4 kids in total. Kids ranged from 2-6 years. There was lots of tutting from the staff when the children wanted to wander from the table following the meal. Lots of do not do this, that or the other signs in the garden.
Superb pub for the correct age group but why not round the young ones up and put them in your bottom room? Or make it clear you don't want any young kids?
We would have stayed for coffee and pudding perhaps in the garden out of the way, but we felt so unwelcome that we left. Shame as I've been to the pub before and it was good.
