I booked a table for 5 including my 3 year old grandson on Sunday. We arrived around 1.15 car park busy and evidence of lots of walkers,We went into the dining area and were greeted with a super efficient restaurant manageress who checked us in and showed us to an area where we were given the menus. We were asked if we wanted to order pre meal drinks and when we were ready shown to the table and introduced to our waiter-who was great with us and my grandson. My wife and myself had traditional Sunday lunch but wanted to mix the meats -no problem, son had pork, daughter had vegetarian and grandson small portion of chicken. All the meals were super-really delicious,We had 3 courses each ,2 bottles of beautiful house wine Duc de Chapelle and some drinks (super Old Hooky) in a well staffed, friendly, warm log fire heated, professional restaurant for around £170 which I thought with all the positives well worth it.I wished I lived nearer because I would go every week.EXCELLENT
