We stayed two nights. The inn is small and on a busy road. Accommodation is satisfactory with great food and beer. The hosts and locals were very friendly. It is a good location for visiting Bath, Wells and Glastonbury.

i found the staff very warming and welcoming the service was exelent i have a nine month old child and they catered for our every need. my partner had a loveley fish dinner and has said she wants to return very soon, my daughter also had fish a fish cake and a jacket she didnt complain and left an empty plate. i had the sea food platter and i was not dissapointed there was a variaty of fish cooked to perfection i did feel bad as i couldnt manage to finish it i think next time me and my wife may shair as it was plenty for two. i would reccomend the pound inn in coxley to any one looking for lovley food and lovley people and atmosfear

I did not stay at The Pound Inn but I went in today for some food. I ordered the fresh fish platter which was fantastic. The fish was cooked to perfection, soft and moist. There was a good selection including mussels in a White wine and garlic sauce, king prawns and a selection of fish battered, smoked, spiced and grilled. Served with mushrooms, onion rings and chips. I shared the platter with my father, neither of us had a starter and certainly didnt need a pudding we were stuffed! Great value for money for a filling variety of fresh fish cooked beautifully!!! Would recommend the fish platter to everyone!!

I didn't actually stay at the Pound Inn but as we are new to the area, we wanted to try the food in the restaurant as they always advertise fresh fish on the board on the street.
We ordered the fish platter which was about 15pound (most expensive option on the menu) and more than enough to feed two according to the girl who served us.
The food arrived promptly, it looked appealing & was served with a small bowl of chips.
Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations, we were served 2 small pieces of cod, one with seasoning the other battered, some large prawns, some tiny mussels & a piece of haddock I think it was. The plate was dressed/filled up with tasteless onion rings and soggy mushrooms.
It was served promptly but some of the fish was just lukewarm. On the whole I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, it wasn't very good & it certainly didn't feel like value for money either.
