Arrived to an amazing building, lovely lobby and quirky old elevator and thought what a good start.
We were placed in a room a the far corner of the second floor so as to avoid the function that was on which we had been warned of in advance however, the room was a tiny double room in the attic and if you are tall, claustrophobic or use a wheelchair (which my wife does) then it is totally unsuited.
We were moved to a better sized room on the second floor and on the first night, the noise from he function was not a problem however a constant tapping sound on the roof area meant no minimal sleep on night one. Opted to pay for dinner and it was not worth the money. I think the chef forgot to flavour everything. Even the duck pate was flavourless.
Second night worse-another function courtesy of a local dj called music man who thinks he is in a club. All we could here was the sound of he bass. I asked reception if he could be asked to turn It down a little and if he did then it didn't appear to make a difference. The rest of the night more tapping. Impossible to sleep. Will never stay here again. The only positive we're the few members of catering staff Nd power who all made an effort and were very friendly. Not good value and even if it were cheaper, it would still be bad value. I haven't covered everything but this is plenty.

I apologize for your disappointing stay. Whilst we hold regular functions the music is rigorously controlled finishing at 12.30. Unfortunately the DJ on the second night was not our resident DJ and was somewhat overzealous with his music a fault we have now rectified.
