called on off chance after a memory lane visit to brent for my husband found the staff extreamly helpful room including management making it the perfect end to our visit hope to return again sept 2010

we have just returned from Brent Knoll after a 2 night stay for the bank holiday, we found the hotel very friendly and comfortable and can honestly say we found no reason for complaint at all. All meals were truly to a great standard. Staff and managers were very helpful and couldnt do enough to please. Theres a fantastic American Diner within the restaurant that sould be visited with a free jukebox for entertainment if you feel like turning to clock back to the 50s! kids and families are all catered for. We took a trip to the Cheddar Caves nearby and had a wonderful day out theres lots to keep you busy there even a narrated tour of the caves. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and relax if your considering visiting Brent Knoll. Next time we visit we aim to climb the hill and take in the 360o views!

My husband and I stayed at the Brent knoll lodge last week What a delightful experience. The staff were excellent and friendly and happy to help all the time. The assistant Manager (Jack) was very helpfull and he was chating and cheking all the customers if is everything ok. Amazing food and restaurant service just great we feel like we are abroad.

Very big bedroom and bathroom were very clean,

My husband and I have just returned from a stay in Somerset where we were staying at The Brent Knoll Lodge for a party nearby.
We cannot actually fault the hotel for cleanliness, comfortable bedrooms, lovely breakfast and smiling, helpful staff. But just how they stay smiling with a boss like we saw is beyond us.
We witnessed the Manager bellowing at a young girl for a table that wasnt cleared, when she clearly was already doing something else.
This sort of bulling behavior spoilt our enjoyment. Was it too much for him to clear the table himself? He was also issuing orders to others when the job could have been done by him.
I was also not very happy with the manageress who was clearly being too familiar with my husband, much to his embarrasment I must add!
These private hotels are usually where you find the atmosphere to be friendly, this was clearly not the case with us. We just feel sorry for the staff.
