We stayed here for one night on our way back to Yorkshire, although my husband regularly stays here - about twice a week on business. I have stayed in quite a large number of Travelodges and this is one of the best. It is on a small commercial park and there is a Frankie and Bennies within 50 yards plus a Tescos Express and a Cooplands bakery - all rather convenient. The rooms are very comfortable, modern, not shabby in any way. I had a very good nights sleep at an astonishing bargain rate. Would definitely stay at this one again.

having paid around £25 was not expecting a good experience however was very impressed. Check in was very smooth, the room was large and clean, everything worked and the beds were comfy. Used Bennie and frankies for meals (also exceeded expectations)

it is the first time I had stayed at a Travelodge. If the other travelodges are like this, then the chain has just acquired a fan. Cheap, clean accomodation with pleasant and efficient staff

I have to say I was a little worried about staying in Mansfield from things I had heard but I felt safe from arrival at the hotel to checking out. Hotel is just adjacent to the retail park with Tesco store and restaurant opposite. Bus stop just 2 mins walk away although I took a cab to get there and my meeting was just 10/15 mins walk away.

Very helpful and professional receptionist. The room was clean, tidy, spacious for the price. The bed was comfortable, matress was a little soft but plenty of pillows. Iron and ironing board available on request from reception. Clean towels in the bathroom, good shower pressure, make sure you bring your own toiletries. Limited number of TV channels but I wasn't too bothered as I could watch TV/listen to music on my laptop. No internet access in the room so used my mobile broadband dongle. The room was very quiet even though my room was above the car park - very good double glazing. My only real negative was that there was no air-con and it had been a really hot day (25o) but plenty of cold drinks available from the Tesco store which closes at 10pm (on a Sunday!!). I didn't visit the Franky & Benny's restaurant but it was less than 30 seconds walk away if I had wanted to eat there. Breakfast was a continental style "breakfast in a bag" - which was plenty. Check out was a little strange as you just drop your key card in the shoot at the reception desk which i didn't realise straight away. Would stay there again no problem.
