This was our second stay at Stepping Stones. Both times we were in the area for family events and couldn't have wished for a more friendly and convenient place to stay. We arrived late on a friday evening (travelling from london during the rush hour) but were still received by a friendly Keith and a pot of tea and biscuits. Both Julie and Keith were just as welcoming and helpful as on our first visit. We even ended up in the same room (room 1 which has a great view of the river out the back.)

Our Room was clean and spacious and had pretty much everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Breakfast times were flexible and there was a good variety of cereals, fruit and the Northumberland cooked breakfast.

The B&B is centrally located for shops, pubs and restaurants in Morpeth making it an ideal place to stay in Morpeth. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

We stayed here as the b&b across the road had double booked us. We we were so pleased we stopped here. On arrival we were made to feel so welcome by Keith and Julie with a tray of coffee and biscuits.
The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. We will definitely be coming back here!

As mentioned in my title it would be difficult to beat this one. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and the wife of the owner assisted us with our bags into our rooms followed by a tray of tea and shortcake. Ask for the rooms overlooking the river and Carlisle park. The rooms are lovely with showers that simulate the Indian monsoons. Spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds I awoke feeling totally refreshed from my long drive the previous day. Brace yourselves for the breakfast!! A typical Northumbrian breakfast which starts with the cereal, creatively served with a choice of strawberries or prunes for the daring. However, make room for the the cooked course which is, to be quite honest, spectacular. Croissants toast and coffee to abundance we were really set up for the day. You will find your hosts extremely affable and I will stay here again the next time I am in Morpeth.

A nice clean relaxing B&B.Room was very nice which was on rear of property with lovely views of the river.The owners were nice and friendly which helped make our stay very enjoyable.Also served an excellent breakfast.
