We found this pub on our Tastecard list and decided to use it for Sunday lunch en route to Nottingham. Well what a find! Not only did they do a Sunday roast but had a full lunch menu also. The welcome was warm and the ambiance in the dining roon was first class. Tables neatly laid and absolutley spotless. Glassware on the table sparkling. I opted for the hand tied pork sausages with spring onion mashed potato (champ) whilst my partner had Devon dressed crab. The food was spectacular. Do not need to say that it is thoroughly recommended. A true gem of a place.

Had Sunday lunch and went for the special offer - Roast Pork (or Beef) plus starter and dessert for £12.50.

Excellent fresh food served by really friendly people. The restaurant was full and had a good buzz about it.

Group of 8 of us stayed at The George in Kilsby, nothing too much trouble, even a 6am fishing breakfast! Able to phone through food orders for evening meal and will definitely be back next summer.

We went as a party of 6 for lunch 27/10/07. I was concerned because of some reviews I had read. My concerns vanished when we received a warm welcome on arrival. Delightful looking dining room with comfortable clean white covers and well laid tables. Comfortable bar with a good range of guest beers and wide selection of all drinks.
Nothing was too much trouble and service excellent. Very wide menu with good selection of home made day specials. We enjoyed our visit and will return.
