I took my boyfriend to the Austwick hall for his 30th birthday as a surprise and we love it. We stayed in the blue room which was more like a suit than a room.The service from the owners was perfect whenever we needed them we could find them but we were also left alone to enjoy each others company.The evening meal was amazing and breakfast was lovely.Perfect for a romantic break.

We stayed in this hotel, in the Blue room, for one night at the beginning of August. We did not have the best of weather so could not appreciate the lovely gardens at their best, or sit outside. We found the entrance hall rather dark when we arrived but soon realised that this was part of the quaintness of the hotel.
Our bedroom was huge as was the ensuite bathroom, although we found the bed rather small by comparison to other hotels.
Dinner choices were extremely limited - just an either or choice for each course. Although were were asked of any dislikes when we booked, we were unaware that the choice would be quite so limited.
Our hosts for the night were very friendly people and eager to please us. However we did find this hotel rather expensive for the amenities on offer.

My husband and I spent three nights at Austwick on the recommendation of friends. We had a fabulous stay there and really enjoyed the location (with stunning views); the wonderful decor in the house; the fabulous garden and the hospitality we received from our hosts.
A real home from home and we shall certainly return when next in Yorkshire.

I wanted somewhere intimate and personal to propose, this was the perfect place, the house and blue room were both spectacular and the gardens beautiful and magnificent. The service from the owners was perfect, somehow, as if by magic, they were there when we wanted them yet we were left alone to enjoy our company and their fabulous house. If you want somewhere discrete, personal and far removed from a corporate hotel set in some of the best scenery this country has to offer the do not hesitate to book, even a special request was not a problem
