Having been a traveller for over thirty years, AND having never been so ****** off to feel the need to complain before, I feel I must warn other weary travellers about this hotel. It is by far the worst accomodation I have experenced in recent years. Don't be fooled by the exterior pics AND definitely do not opt for the Single Room.I invariably stay in Premiers but on this occasion Premier Inn Scunthorpe was full. Receptionist said she knew of a good hotel within easy reach (I do hope she is not on a back-hander from the Beverley Hotel ?) I duly arrived at the Hotel and was met by Sue (partner in the business) who greeted me with what I took to be a warm smile. On reflection I would now describe it more aptly as a ' professional Cheshire Grin'. The single room being the only one available I took it without inspection AND paid up front. (mistake). I should add free internet connection was welcome. Although the hotel has a bar, they are licenced only for weddings and do not do evening meals. It was a good 500 yard walk to the nearest eatery. Fed and watered I returned to my room at around 8pm to find my room absolutely freezing. The one radiator did nothing to add to the temperature and when the heating was turned off a little later, the room became unbearably cold. Wrapping myself in the single sized duvet did no good and the extra 'wafer thin' blanket I found, was worse than useless.I could only manage a fitful sleep until around 3am when I could stand it no longer and decided to try and warm up by taking a shower. (yes, you've guessed it....Freezing water. Having decided earlier to save my two tea-bags for an early morning cuppa, I relented and decided a cup of tea was the only way to get warm.......Unfortunately the kettle did not work properly and in the end I just gave up. I really do hate knocking someones livelhood, but if this was a Dogs Home, they would have been closed down ages ago. Hopefully this will deter someone from making the same mistake as I did.

The twin bedded room me and my daughter stayed is was cramped and very very cold, we were told the next morning when we mentioned the cold was that is was because we were from the south!! (Dover) what did that mean????????????
However the breakfast was excellent.

I visited the Beverley Hotel earlier this year whilst visiting family in the area - I was transferred there when the Premier Inn overbooked! At the time, I was not best pleased, but this improved greatly when I arrived at the Beverley Hotel. I was greeted at the door by the lovely owner, and was promptly shown to a beautiful bedroom, with all the facilities I could have possibly wanted. The breakfast I recieved the next morning was ten times better than anything I would have ever got at the Premier Inn - and it was included in the price! In short, this is a beautiful hotel, with stunning rooms, amazing food, and the most lovely atmosphere, due to it being family run. I would MOST DEFINATELY recommend this hotel. I am due to return next month, and am thoroughly looking forward to it.

I stayed at the Beverley hotel for two nights a week for the last few months as I was working in Scunthorpe. I was very impressed with the friendly, personalized service that I received. The standard of the rooms was excellent, and as a regular I was given free choice of which of the well appointed and spotlessly clean rooms I stayed in. I was also given a double room on every occasion for the price of a single room. The hotel is in a quiet residential side street and has an enormous well-tended garden for the guests to use. The breakfast was fantastic and presented with a smile and a cheery 'good morning'. As a woman traveling alone I really appreciated staying somewhere that felt so safe. I was also given free access to wifi and the enormous table in the conference room. I would definitely stay here again.
