Modern quiet hotel, excellent facilities for the business traveller.

Stayed here overnight whilst at a nearby wedding. Room clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Only downside was had requested gluten, dairy free breakfast but the message had not been passed from the hotel to the restaurant so was not available. Had to buy on the way home. Shame because couldn't fault anthing else.

My girlfiend and I stayed at The Avenue for a night in April as we had booked for a meal at the nearby Northcote restaurant.

We found there was ample parking, athough we were a bit confused as there are two buildings to the hotel and we went to the wrong one at first, this turned out to be the bar / restaurant.

The staff on the reception were really nice and helpful and showed us to our room.

We were really happy with the room as it was very clean and looked newly renovated to a very high level.

Breakfast was served a short walk across the carpark in the annex building. The food was very nice and cooked exactly to everyones individual requirements. It was a really friendly personal service.

The reception sold a few essentials such as drink, snacks etc which were at normal prices...not the inlflated prices you get in some hotels.

One of the owners of the hotel showed us ther newly refurbished TV lounge which had a bookcase full of DVDs and books you could borrow during your stay.

Unfortunately we didn't get time to explore the area around the hotel, but it looked really nice.

The hotel is going through some refurbishment but as a guest you would not notice. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms have everything you need and the breakfasts were lovely. Just be aware reception closes at 8pm so you will need to check in to get your key beforehand. Fantastic price, would definitely recommend.
