We spent two nights in The Crofters on a value DB&B deal

Our experience was positive throughout from first welcome to settling the bill on departure
There is an obvious good attitude with all the staff whether reception, housekeeping, bar, tavern, or breakfast

Quality was high and the food excellent. I doubt you will get better for the price.

We had one small problem as one of our party had left an adapter (europe to UK) back in leeds.
NO PROBLEM for the housekeeping team who within minutes had produced one.

and finally...something rare these days...people smiled!!

On travelling down from Scotland we wanted to break the journey and found this on Laterooms for £49 B&B and reviews mentioned Tavern had great food.

On arrival (and departure) I found staff extremely friendly and dinner in Tavern was great. The menu was varied and food could not be faulted. A little disappointing was this menu was different from their website,so it be good to see this updated. Breakfast was great, good choice of cereals followed by freshly cooked breakfast.

Our room was very spacious, but I'd say the bed was has was smaller than a queen size! I'd say the hotel has been investing in some areas and there are some areas were a lick of paint would go a long way (chipped skirting boards, ripped wallpaper etc) but it certainly no worse that other hotels, especially at £49 per night!

Overall, highly recommended!

Rooms are clean and comfortable food & choice is very good, have stayed here twice now and will be back again, Good hosts and breakfast, great parking ideal for car club weekends!!

Having recently attended a conference at Crofters hotel felt I must write a review to congratulate the staff and management on great customer service.
People are quick to complain but rarely praise things that go well.

From the start our delegates were welcomed, room already set as per previous correspondance to our needs.
Bedroom lists correct and all rooms spacious and clean wit free internet,

Dinner on first evening was casual in the adjoining oub and food first class.
breakfast next morning was punctual and hot.

Conference was great with timings and lunch all to a very high standard All our needs dealt with quickly

First class service and faciities will definatley return for all our conference meeting needs return
