“warmer out in the snow”

We arrived at the hotel and informed where our room was and found the room to be freezing cold withno heating. After some delay and sat with coats on we were told the heating needed to be turned on!!. Great at the most coldest part of the year!! Approx 2.45am i awoke freezing due to no heating on (again), the bed had a sheet a thin blanket and a top cover more akin to the summer weather and NO DUVET. Thank god they had another blanket in the wardrobe.. The breakfasy was ok but no-one came and spoke of the heating problem or introduced themselves, we had no idea who ran the pub or who the staff were working at breakfast time.
The hotel was overpriced and in need of an update in room decor and bedding before anyone should pay £75.00 a night. We wouldnt stay again.

“Good dining - in a country pub”

We were a group of 6 and booked just before Christmas. It was a good meal - everybody felt the choices were sufficient. Service was excellent. The evening was very enjoyable, and I could recommend the pub for country dining. Lovely part of the country.

“Warm and Welcoming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2009

I stayed at the bayley arms for a few nights whilst on buisness and as I arrived in the evening I was greeted by warm welcoming surroundings and plesent staff
The room was very comfortable and clean and the evening meals in the restaurant were well presented and very enjoyable.
I would definately recommend this lovely country pub to anybody looking for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life!

“A warm welcome awaits in a great value country inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2009

A great country pub hotel that offers a warm welcome, excellent food & guest beers. The staff are particularly friendly and attentive and go to a great deal of effort to make the visitor feel at home. The rooms are comfortable, well maintained & appointed and offer a comfortable night’s sleep. The hotel is located in a delightful & historic village close to a number of very enjoyable country walks and a golf course.

“AMAZING HOTEL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 April 2009

I recently stayed at the Bayley with my partner and a had a fantastic time. We were attending at wedding at the Shireburn, which i believe is the sister hotel to the Bayley. All the staff at both places were extremley friendly and polite, they made you feel very welcome. The food at both places outstanding, the service was very fast and nicely presented even when they were busy. The bedrooms at the Bayley were basic, but clean and comfortable. All in all we had a lovely weekend away and will definetly be going back to both places. After reading the other reveiews i was a bit hesitant to go, but on arrival i realised that all the other reviews are a load of rubbish and i dont no what they are talking about. I would recommed the bayley to anyone, and could gaurantte that there stay would be as good as ours.
